The swing voter criticized Biden for his insistence on blaming former President Trump for the problems of his current administration and took issue with Biden’s policies during a debate with Lee Carter, president of Maslansky & Partners.
Some members of the Fox News Digital Focus Group I was planning to vote after watching the debate.
“Cognitive ability… this is the highest office and it’s really important to me to trust that the administration understands and has the cognitive ability,” one focus group member who switched his support from President Biden to former President Donald after the debate said of why he did so.
The comments came after the first debate between Biden and Trump, who are set to face off again in the 2020 election.

Faced with doubts about his fitness to continue in the nation’s highest office, Biden sought to dispel notions that he did not have the physical or mental strength to serve another four years as president, but many critics said his performance only deepened voter uncertainty.
“From the get-go, Biden looked old, he was hard to understand, he was confused, he said horrible things and he was just slinging mud,” Fox Business’ Larry Kudlow said immediately after the debate.
“I lived with Trump for four years, and three and a half. [Biden]I’ll take the remaining four.”
Those sentiments were shared by a Fox News Digital focus group, with one member saying they only had to play the debate video to see why support for Trump solidified that night.

Overall, after the debate, 10 of the group’s 15 members said they supported Trump.
When asked about any incidents that impressed them about Biden, some respondents praised the president for his stance on taxes and child care, but expressed general concerns about his ability to lead the country.

“I don’t think anybody remembers what he said tonight,” one member said. “All we remember is how he said it.”
Meanwhile, the Biden campaign has argued that the debate was overall negative for Trump and helped bolster its case for the president.
“Police conducted during tonight’s debate clearly show that the more voters listen to Donald Trump, the more they are reminded of why they hate him, while President Biden started slow but finished strong,” a Biden campaign official told Fox News Digital in an email early Friday morning.

Citing “surveys of undecided voters in Midwestern states,” the Biden campaign said, “Debate viewers agree that President Biden won the debate, and the more they observe President Donald Trump’s erratic and vindictive behavior, the more they are reminded of why they voted against him in 2020.”
“Throughout the night, Trump continued to repeat unpopular policy positions and petty, vindictive personal anecdotes, refusing to address issues that undecided voters actually care about,” the official added.
