Fox News Digital’s October Performance
In the latest Comscore data, Fox News Digital continues to excel compared to other news outlets. Last month, it achieved nearly 1.8 billion views across various platforms, outshining The New York Times, which garnered 1.4 billion views, and CNN with 695 million.
When it comes to total multiplatform minutes, Fox News took the lead with over 3.7 billion minutes. For context, CNN and The Times managed around 1.2 billion minutes.
In YouTube performance, Fox News stood out with 377 million views in October, marking its sixth consecutive month at the top.
In contrast, MSNBC had 329 million views, just before it transitioned into MS NOW. CNN secured 186 million views, followed by ABC News with 130 million, NBC News at 113 million, and CBS News with 63 million.
Fox News also excelled in mobile app usage, attracting 6.5 million unique users in October compared to CNN’s 3.9 million.
Moreover, Fox News Media continues to gain traction in the digital arena. Emplifi’s data reveals it has reclaimed YouTube’s top spot six months in a row, with October’s figures showing substantial engagement.
On social media, Fox News led among news brands, generating a noteworthy 154.6 million interactions across major platforms. That included 108 million interactions on Facebook, 23.2 million on Instagram, and around 24 million on TikTok. Impressively, it also achieved over 2 billion social media video views in one month.
Interestingly, Fox News Digital, along with CBSNews.com, NBCNews.com, and others, has opted to include social incrementality in measuring total multiplatform unique visitors. In comparison, brands like CNN.com and NYTimes.com have refrained from doing so.
In the third quarter, Fox News Digital recorded 94.1 million unique visitors, leading all other major news brands.
October was particularly eventful, with significant stories ranging from the government shutdown to President Donald Trump’s mediation of a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.
