Fox News Continues Strong Performance in November

Fox News Channel showed impressive numbers throughout November, maintaining a solid lead over NBC and CBS in weekday prime-time viewership for the year. While it lags behind CNN and the newly rebranded MS NOW, the cable news network has established itself firmly in the competition.

Since the start of 2025, Fox News has averaged 3.2 million weekday prime-time viewers, placing it as the second most-watched network across all of television, outperforming CBS and NBC.

Fox News fared particularly well in comparison to its cable news rivals. In November, it surpassed CNN and MS NOW, which was previously known as MSNBC until mid-month. This came at a time when many liberal networks reached historic lows.

Fox averaged 1.4 million viewers daily, while MS NOW lagged with only 600,000 and CNN had 430,000, marking CNN’s worst November in this category since 2013.

MS NOW registered an average of 945,000 prime-time viewers from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., while Fox News enjoyed over 2 million total viewers during those hours. Consequently, MS NOW’s combined daytime and primetime numbers were also its lowest since 2015.

Meanwhile, CNN’s average of 556,000 prime-time viewers represented its worst performance in November since 1997.

Fox News commanded a robust 57% share of cable news overall and 58% during prime time.

In the key demographic of adults aged 25 to 54, Fox captured an average of 123,000 viewers daily, while CNN had just 70,000, and MS NOW trailed with 55,000. This trend continued in prime time, with Fox achieving 184,000 viewers in that demographic, compared to CNN’s 100,000 and MS NOW’s 88,000.

The show “The Five,” featuring Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters, Jessica Tarloff, and Harold Ford Jr., amassed an impressive average of 3.6 million total viewers, solidifying its place as the most-watched cable news program of all time and number one at 5 p.m. ET.

“Jesse Watters Primetime” closely followed with nearly 3 million total viewers, leading all cable news programming in that category.

“Gutfeld!” secured an average of 2.5 million viewers, outperforming all late-night shows, including those on CBS, ABC, and NBC.

At 9 p.m. ET, “Hannity” maintained its lead with 2.4 million viewers, while “The Ingraham Angle” reached 2.5 million viewers, continuing Laura Ingraham’s status as the highest-rated woman in cable news.

“FOX News @ Night with Trace Gallagher” also led its timeslot with 1.4 million viewers.

Fox News continues to dominate key morning and daytime slots. “FOX & Friends” wrapped up November with 1.3 million viewers, remaining the top morning cable news show against “CBS Mornings,” “Good Morning America,” and “Today.”

The network’s daytime lineup, including “America’s Newsroom,” “The Faulkner Focus,” “Outnumbered,” and “The Story,” has performed strongly, showcasing Fox’s continued success in viewership.

Additionally, programs like “Saturday in America” and “Sunday Morning Futures” have solidified Fox’s position on weekends, contributing to its overall dominance in cable news.

As Fox News wraps up its current run of viewership, the data reflects their continued strength and broad appeal across various demographics and time slots.
