Clinton’s soiree boosts Biden’s coffers
President Biden is pleased with the new cash infusion into his campaign coffers thanks to the Clintons’ help.
Biden raised $8.1 million at the fundraiser, which also featured former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was the Democratic Party’s standard-bearer in 2016, according to his 2024 reelection campaign.
The fundraiser took place in McLean, Virginia, an upscale neighborhood in the nation’s capital, at the home of former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, a longtime friend and adviser to the Clintons and former Democratic National Committee chairman.
In his comments at the fundraiser, Biden criticized former President Trump, his Republican opponent in 2024. “This year is a test of democracy,” he said.
