Incoming Border Emperor Tom Homan He is expected to join Gov. Greg Abbott in a key Texas border region on Tuesday to feed troops stationed in the state over Thanksgiving, raising expectations for significant cooperation with Trump. Ahead of the move, he praised the governor's “unprecedented success” in border security. The administration and Abbott's team will work together next year.
Mr. Homan and Mr. Abbott served meals to members of the Texas National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety in Eagle Pass, Texas. Homan praised Abbott's work.
“Governor Abbott has done a great job. Illegal immigration in Texas is down 86%, and 86% are thinking about it. This is a model that can be adopted across the country. We are continuing the work Gov. Abbott started. “I'm going to help you get it done,'' he said.
Homan was appointed “border czar” by President-elect Trump this month following Trump's election victory.
