On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris officially won her party’s nomination for the 2024 presidential election. Democratic National Committee The Democratic National Convention (DNC) announced that the Vice President has secured a majority of delegate votes for the Democratic Party’s next national convention.
“I am very proud Vice President Harris “He has received more than half of the votes from all delegates to the Democratic National Convention and will be the Democratic nominee once voting closes on Monday,” Democratic National Convention Chairman Jaime Harrison said in a statement.
While Harris’ nomination was never in doubt, as the vice president was the only candidate eligible to run for the presidential nomination, it would be a historic milestone in the nation’s history for her to become the first woman of color to lead a major party’s national campaign.…read more
