President Trump's Iowa landslide empties two campaigns
Trump's landslide victory in Iowa left two camps unable to survive. Trump has frozen the presidential aspirations of former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswami, who withdrew from the race shortly after the results of the Iowa caucuses were announced.
“I am ceasing my presidential campaign and driving back to Arkansas,” Hutchinson said in a statement Tuesday after finishing sixth. “I am an experienced, principled Republican and current front-runner. “My message of telling the truth about things didn't sell in Iowa.” Place in caucus. “I stand by the campaign I ran. Ramaswamy received about 8% support among caucus attendees, beating Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (2nd place) and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley (3rd place), who received about 20% of the total votes. ) followed.
