Kamala Harris' pink slip pep talk
Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday encouraged Democratic staffers facing layoffs from the DNC, saying their “spirit will not be defeated.”
Harris made the comments during a press conference. DNC Holiday Celebration Sunday in Washington, DC. She spoke alongside President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at the event, which was attended by employees who were fired from the Democratic National Committee without severance pay after the election.
“This holiday season, like any other time of the year, let us be truly conscious of all the blessings we have been given. Let us celebrate the blessings we have. Let’s celebrate the blessings we don’t have and move forward,” Harris said. “And let us always remember that our country is worth fighting for and our spirit will never be defeated.” Read more.
