FBI Director announces resignation as President Trump's choice awaits confirmation
FBI Director Christopher Wray has announced plans to step down at the end of the Biden administration.
Fox News learned shortly before the announcement that Wray would make the announcement at an FBI town hall in Washington, D.C., during which thousands of FBI agents from across the country are expected to participate virtually.
“After several weeks of careful consideration, I have decided that it is right for the department to serve until the end of this administration in January and then resign,” Wray said at City Hall. “My goal is to stay focused on our mission, the essential work you do for the American people every day. In my opinion, this will drag the office further into the fray.” The best way to avoid this is, on the other hand, the values and principles that are so important to how we work.”…Read more
