Fox Sports Partners with Barstool Sports for Enhanced Coverage
Fox Sports and Barstool Sports are teaming up to improve their coverage of college football, basketball, and other related properties. This collaboration kicks off this autumn with Barstool’s founder, Dave Portnoy, stepping in as a regular contributor to Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kick-Off.” Alongside him, various personalities from Barstool Sports, including Dan Katz, famously known as “Big Cat,” will also make appearances.
Eric Shanks, CEO and executive producer of Fox Sports, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to welcome Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports into the Fox Sports family.” He highlighted that Portnoy has cultivated a unique brand that resonates with a new kind of sports fan—one that is authentic, bold, and highly original. This fit makes sense within Fox’s evolving multi-platform content strategy.
Portnoy, reflecting on this collaboration, shared his excitement with a hint of humor, suggesting that Barstool has not previously had such a wealth of resources and talent at their disposal. “We can’t wait to reach out to you through the airwaves of Fox Sports… See YA in Columbus!” he added.
Additionally, Barstool will be traveling with the “Big Noon Kickoff” team throughout the college football season, showcasing their own “Barstool College Football Show,” which will air from 9 AM to 4:45 AM across various platforms, including Tubi, the FOX Sports app, and FoxSports.com.
As part of this new alliance, Barstool is also set to launch a two-hour live program that will be broadcast on FS1 from Monday to Friday, with more details to be revealed soon.
