Fox News correspondent Kayleigh McEnany accused President Biden’s campaign of “practicing a cheap fakery” after the White House responded to a series of edited videos that showed the president appearing confused and wandering off.
McEnany and the other co-hosts Fox News’ “Outnumbered” On Tuesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre discussed comments made about a video of Biden that has been circulating online in recent days. “These are cheap fakes. Karine Jean-Pierre, you want to talk about malice? Look in the mirror and march to Delaware. Speak to your campaign. You are the one making the cheap fakes,” she said, referring to posts from the Biden-Harris HQ account.
Jean-Pierre was responding to videos of Biden appearing during a visit to France earlier this month, in Italy last week and at a fundraiser on Saturday. He said on Monday that the videos showing the president looking confused were made with “bad intentions.”
“This election showed us everything we needed to know about how desperate the Republican Party is,” she said.
“Instead of talking about the president’s accomplishments in office — his legislative victories, what he’s accomplished for Americans across the country — we’re seeing these deepfakes and manipulated videos,” she continued, “and again, this is being done with bad intentions.”
