Monday was not the first time a player has collapsed at the Miami Open in recent years.

Jack Draper collapsed in the first round against Mikhail Kukushkin during the 2021 event due to the intense Florida sun and humidity.

Last summer, Yibin Wu fainted on court during the Mubadala City DC Open.
