Fred Goldman, father of Ron Goldman, who was murdered along with Nicole Brown Simpson in June 1994, spoke out in strong words after hearing of O.J. Simpson’s death.
Simpson, Nicole Brown Simpson’s ex-husband, was accused of murdering her and Goldman’s son Ron in a long and highly publicized trial in which many believed a wrongful verdict was reached. was ultimately acquitted.

NBC reporter Daniel Arkin said he spoke with Goldman on Thursday to get his reaction to the news of Simpson’s death after a battle with cancer.
“The only thing I have to say is this is just another reminder that Ron has been gone all these years,” Goldman said. “It’s not a great loss to the world. It’s just another reminder that Ron is gone.”

Two years after Simpson’s acquittal for the murders of Goldman and his ex-wife, he was found civilly responsible for their deaths and ordered to pay $33.5 million to the murder victim’s family.

However, almost no repayments were made to the families. To repay the money, Simpson started a sports memorabilia business, but the business collapsed in 2008 when he was arrested for armed robbery and kidnapping.
Simpson served nine years in prison before being released in 2017.
