Freedom Caucus reelects Andy Harris as chair

Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) will serve as chairman of the House Freedom Caucus until the end of 2025, a ruling confirmed Monday night, strengthening his leadership of the hard-line conservative caucus.

“I am honored to continue serving as chair of the House Freedom Caucus,” Harris said in a statement about her reelection. “This will be a pivotal year as we continue the fight to implement President Trump’s policies, reduce government spending, secure our borders, and protect our constitutional freedoms.”

Harris became Freedom Caucus chair in September, replacing Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.), who resigned after losing the primary.
