Washington state lawmakers should become like their brave French counterparts and challenge President Donald Trump rather than surrender all the time.
So, a politician 3,800 miles away in Paris says after he sided the US leadership with the “July of Nero” and dismissed his advisor, Elon Musk, as the “Ketamine Clown.”
The AFP reports that Sen. Claude Marlett, a veteran French politician sitting with factions alongside President Emmanuel Macron in the Senate, attracted global attention for his colorful language choices when he denounced DC and its lawmakers last week.
“Washington became Nero's court, with the jammed Cen Emperor, obedient courtiers and ketamine clowns responsible for purgesing civil servants,” he said in his speech.
He was comparing Trump to the tyrannical Roman Emperor Nero.

Malhuret also mentioned Musk, the owner of social media platform X, and the world's wealthiest person who oversees Trump's driving forces that emit Washington's swamps.
The former doctor and minister told AFP that during an eight-minute speech during a Senate discussion on security in Ukraine and Europe, he reflected the “concerns” and “anger” of many people in the United States.
“I never imagined that internet users would voluntarily translate into English and would go viral to that extent, especially in the US,” he said in an interview with AFP.
He said he gave a voice to US unrest about Trump's actions that he claims are felt on both sides of the political gap.
Judging from the so many and so many messages I have received since then, I think Americans today feel that politicians can't stand up to Trump.
Of course, Republicans are afraid of retaliation, so even those who oppose him have said nothing.
And Democrats are still upset by the president's defeat, and the party is still not going well.
On my part, many of the messages I received asked:
Malhuret accused Trump of “the seizure of democracy” and said that the US president “has “sacked to his enemy” “in history.”
