French authorities conducted a raid at the Arab World Institute in Paris on Monday as part of an investigation into the former government official’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, the search involved the institute’s headquarters and several other locations. Investigators were particularly interested in documents related to Jack Lang, the former culture minister who had recently resigned from his post as the head of the AWI. The institute operates under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both Jack and Caroline Lang have consistently denied any involvement or financial transactions with Epstein. Their lawyer, Laurent Merlet, assured French media recently that “there was no transfer of funds.”
The recent release of a vast number of documents linked to Epstein has had repercussions throughout Europe. Following these developments, the Paris prosecutor’s office established a specialized team to focus on the case, collaborating with the financial prosecutor’s office and national police.
Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a letter on Saturday stating that “all” Epstein-related files have been released in accordance with the Epstein File Transparency Act.
The letter detailed that the Justice Department had provided comprehensive records and documents related to various categories concerning Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Included in the release was a list of over 300 prominent individuals, such as Donald Trump, Barack and Michelle Obama, Prince Harry, Bill Gates, and others.
The communication indicated that the names listed had varying degrees of interaction with Epstein, from direct email correspondence to mere mentions in unrelated documents. It seems this transparency is part of a broader effort to shed light on the tangled web of Epstein’s network.
As for the materials released, they encompass a wide array of documents concerning Epstein’s dealings, including legal agreements and references to various public figures associated with his activities.
