Floyd Roger Myers Jr., known for his childhood role in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” has sadly passed away after a prolonged struggle with heart disease. He was just 42 years old.

Myers died from a heart attack early Wednesday morning at his home in Maryland, as reported by his mother, Renee Trice.

Trice mentioned that she had spoken to Myers just the night before his passing.

The actor, recognized for his role in “The Jacksons: An American Dream,” had experienced three heart attacks over the past three years.

His sister, Tyree Trice, shared a moving tribute, calling him a “devoted father, loving brother, and friend” whose warmth and humor left a lasting impact on everyone around him. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist the family with funeral expenses and to support his children.

“Roger leaves behind four beautiful children: Teryn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox. As a family, we are grappling with this unimaginable loss,” Tyree expressed.

Myers first appeared as Young Will in a 1992 episode of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” He later took on the role of Marlon Jackson in the ABC miniseries “The Jacksons: American Dream,” which featured notable stars like Angela Bassett and Vanessa Williams.

His most recent acting credit was a 2000 episode of the WB teen drama “Young Americans,” which only aired for one season.

Beyond acting, Myers co-founded The Fellowship Men’s Group, designed to help men grow and support each other. The organization publicly honored him, stating it would persist with its mission in his memory.

“Rest in peace to our good brother @rocwonder. Even though you are gone, you will never be forgotten. The mission will carry on in your honor,” they wrote in a heartfelt post.

Importantly, Myers also owned a business called Dr. Duct, which specialized in air duct and dryer vent cleaning.
