Blink-182’s bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus did not experience a wonderful evening with Melissa Joan Hart.
In a passage from his upcoming memoir, Fahrenheit 182, Entertainment Weekly reports that Hoppus reminisced about meeting the “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” star at the Teen Choice Awards. She encouraged him to contact her spokesperson for her number, which he found intriguing.
Hoppus acknowledges that he attempted to sound sophisticated using “Hollywood industry lingo,” but he realized it might not have impressed her since she was “already well-known.”

The pair had a sushi dinner, but Hoppus felt there was no chemistry between them.
“It was a terrible experience. She was really nice, but we didn’t connect. Everything revolved around her acting career, making it difficult to relate over other topics,” he noted.
When he inquired about her food preferences aside from sushi, she shared that she typically ate whatever was around on set. Upon asking her reading habits, she mentioned that she mainly read scripts for her roles.

“From her viewpoint, I was only discussing music. We didn’t mesh well, which was tough,” Hoppus reflected.
After their meal, Hart offered him to come over, but he declined since he had an early call time for a music video shoot the next day.
Upon returning to his hotel, he received a voicemail from MTV booker Skye Everly asking him to return her call.

Hoppus returned the call and recounted, “What began as light-hearted chats soon became profound discussions. We covered a lot of ground.”
“We talked for hours, and we realized as the sun rose that we had spoken all night long.”
The “All the Small Things” artist married Everly in 2000 and welcomed their son, Jack, two years later.

Hart tied the knot with musician Mark Wilkerson in 2003 and has three sons: Mason, Braydon, and Tucker.
Representatives for both Hart and Hoppus did not respond promptly to a request for comment by Fox News Digital.
“Fahrenheit-182” is set to release on April 8th.
