Steve Baker, a Blaze Media correspondent and now an official “felon,” has pleaded guilty to four misdemeanor charges stemming from his presence at the Capitol during the January 6 riot. Ta.
Although Baker was there as a journalist, the justice system appears to believe he was there as an insurrectionist, as are many others who did not feel the wrath of the Justice Department.
“You were so relieved when Trump was elected,” Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” tells Baker, who also affirms Gray's assumption.
“That was a big part of my decision because my pretrial hearing was the morning after the election,” Baker explains. “It was brutal. The judge showed real intolerance.”
“He was completely inflexible at trial, denying all of our claims – deny, deny, deny, deny – and the most important claim we filed was that we “The other side was seeking evidence from the government. Between 80 and 100 journalists entered the building and were not charged with any crime,” he continued.
“So we were asking for discovery and the judge said, 'No, you don't need that,'” he added.
Gray doesn't believe that, and questions how judges can “arbitrarily decide what evidence can be presented.”
“I know he can rule on things that are not related to the case, but it is very relevant to the case,” he added.
Baker could have requested a jury trial, but because 95% of Americans voted for Kamala Harris, she didn't want one in Washington, D.C. — Harris spent much of her campaign at the Capitol. Because he has spent much of his time demonizing Trump supporters who attended the event. January 6th.
“It's not necessarily a favorable jury group,” he jokes.
