Reviving Hope in America
The journey started on a battered rooftop in south Chicago. Standing atop a dilapidated motel, I voiced my protest against the violence that has claimed lives and dreams in our community. My promise? To fight against the devastation that has engulfed us.
I had no idea how this mission would resonate across the country, connecting me with others facing similar struggles. The goal is to address the damage caused by liberal policies since the 1960s. From that rooftop, my mission has expanded, bringing attention to overlooked neighborhoods throughout America.
On September 1, 2025, I hit the road, lacing up my walking shoes to trek 3,000 miles from New York City to Los Angeles. This isn’t just a walk; it’s a stand against the debilitating dependence on government and the erosion of our cultural values.
It’s not just about any one group. It affects us all. The statistics tell a troubling story. More and more individuals are relying on government assistance. Marriage rates are in decline, single-parent households are on the rise, education standards are worsening, and divisions—racial and otherwise—are still growing. And what about faith? It seems increasingly sidelined. We’re in danger of losing our resolve.
So, how do we turn this around? We must restore merit and the principles that underpin our values. For decades, we’ve been faced with assaults from the collective left, telling us that our achievements are not really ours—blaming everything on racism or systemic barriers.
From our neighborhoods to our schools and workplaces, America thrives on merit. The current attempts to undermine it only serve to weaken us.
Merit is the binding force that connects talented individuals, regardless of their backgrounds or economic situations, in pursuit of the American dream.
The advantages are clear: diversity, inclusion, progress, innovation, and even learning from failure. These are the cornerstones of what it means to be American.
That’s the essence of my walk across the nation. It’s about reclaiming merit and the dreams we hold dear.
Authenticity is vital. This journey is crucial. Even with leadership like President Trump, our cities remain shackled by policies that keep us down. The playbook from those in power seems designed to maintain a permanent class of dependency. They distort our hopes and reduce us to mere demographics. Trump can only do so much, and I believe time is not on his side. But we can’t just wait for someone to save us; it’s time for us to take action and shape our own futures.
Some might doubt me. Look at New York City. Once struggling, it now has a chance to elect a socialist mayor. Socialism feeds into the struggles of the lower class; I witness its effects daily in the neighborhoods I navigate. This walk isn’t just a stroll; it’s a struggle for the very essence of America. We need to break free from the constraints that bind us, reclaim our dreams, and stop becoming pawns in a larger game.
Every step I take aims to raise funds for a national initiative aimed at creating change—specifically a center in Chicago that will support boys from single-parent households dealing with poverty. We’ll train young men for real jobs, launch Christian schools to disrupt violence, and establish a model that can be replicated across communities nationwide. My vision extends beyond any single building; it’s about revitalizing our country from the ground up.
This journey boldly declares a need for more than just government welfare; we need grit and unwavering accountability. We should see ourselves as more than just statistics or skin color. We are Americans, built for opportunity and independence, grounded in faith.
As I travel through cities like DC, Dallas, Jackson, and Tulsa, I’ll be rallying communities and sharing stories that ignite conversations around merit, resilience, and faith. My hope is to restore the foundational values of our country: God, family, opportunity, and sacrifice. Returning to Chicago in June 2026, I want to say, “Look what we’ve accomplished.” I want to show that the spirit of America still thrives. Together, we can make it even stronger.
If you believe in merit and the American dream, I invite you to join me. Our children’s future depends on it. Let’s walk this journey together to break free from the grip that holds us down. The soul of America hangs in the balance, and I witness the corruption daily.
