Frontier Airlines clerk unleashes fury on ‘involuntarily bumped’ passengers

Passengers on Hopeful Frontier Airlines were yelled at more times last week than there were hours on the flight, as gate agents were nowhere to be found and they were instead met with screaming operations staff.

Passengers on Frontier Flight 2746 were delayed for “three hours” at Denver International Airport on Sunday, and about 25 people were sent to customer service after “unintentional bumps.” According to the TikTok post.

Unfortunately for weary travelers, the airline’s help desk was unstaffed.

The group was met by a metal door and one person knocked on the door, calling for two workers who were unwilling to help them.

“I’m calling the police,” one stressed employee can be heard yelling from behind the counter, as several customers waiting in line yell back.

“We’re busy,” he added, raising his hand to further emphasize his point.

The Airbus A320neo was originally scheduled to take off at 1:18 p.m. Pacific time and head to Tampa International Airport, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.com.

The Frontier flight’s departure was delayed by two hours, and the Frontier flight arrived in Florida just after 8:30 p.m. Eastern time.

“We have six stalls, but anyone can go there,” one person can be heard yelling.

“We’re busy!” the clerk shouted, seeming to startle one of the customers in line.

One passenger tried to calm down the heated exchange by speaking in a normal, hushed tone, but that did little to improve the situation as several others repeatedly yelled at the employee for being a “liar.” .

“If someone came out and said, ‘Hey, I’m busy,’ we would do it.” [sic]” the passenger began before being cut off.

“Who’s going to come out? This isn’t even my job. I’m on an operation,” the worker replied. “Everyone who works here is busy.”

“We’ve been standing here for however long we’ve been standing here, so please come with us.”

As the back-and-forth exchange of jaws continued, a third airport employee arrived, stood between the angry customer and the other staff, announced he was removing one of the staff members, and left again.

“We apologize, we are short-staffed,” said the low-cost airline employee, who later announced a short leave of absence.

“We’ll be back in about 25 minutes, so please wait a moment,” the staff member added, before leaving the camera.

TikTok users took to the comments page to share their frustrations with the airline industry’s current concerns.

“This is why I teleport everywhere,” one comment read.

One Frontier employee claimed that they were short-staffed and customers had to wait until a customer service representative returned. Reuters

“Frontier sucks, but it’s not the workers’ fault. Some of them are horrible, though. This man seemed overwhelmed,” another man defended the workers.

One person said they were planning a transcontinental road trip because “airlines are in such a bad place right now.”
