Brenda Hruvirtova* 0-1 Aryna Sabalenka (* indicates next server)
Sabalenka started the fight right away and led 30-0 despite some mistakes from 16-year-old Flewvilletois. The defending champion then found the back of the net on the return, but Fleuvilletois hit a long forehand shot to give Sabalenka 40-15. Two double faults next, Sabalenka looks at the crowd in frustration, sighs, and goes for a deuce.
Flewvilletois gained the advantage with a great shot to the right corner of the court, but Sabalenka split the ball left and right and returned it to deuce. She closed out the game, but was a little worried about her serve early on.
