A’ja Wilson wasn’t the only one feeling the heat from Fever fans during the playoff game.
After a confrontation with a Fever supporter in the game’s fourth quarter, Wilson’s teammates and staff from Las Vegas rushed to the scene to calm things down at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Among those who rushed over were Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance, both former teammates of Wilson’s, even though they aren’t currently active players in the WNBA.
A video capturing another angle of this incident during the Fever’s 99-89 Game 2 victory, which tied the series, shows Colson and Plaisance making their way from their courtside seats toward the commotion.
They were later seen being escorted away by what appeared to be arena personnel.
As they returned to their seats, a man wearing a red Fever shirt appeared to make a comment to them, prompting a response from Colson, who pointed back at him.
In another clip, Colson, who played for the Fever in 2025, can be seen being restrained by an arena staff member as she confronts the fan, visibly upset and saying, “Who do you think you are? Bitch, who the f–k do you think you are?”
While leaving the court area, Plaisance was heard calling the fan “a little bitch boy.”
Interestingly, the duo was mic’d up for the game, contributing as players for Amazon’s “WNBA on Prime” coverage.
It remains unclear whether they returned to their seats to catch the end of the game or if any action was taken against the fan who confronted them.
The incident started with a back-and-forth between Wilson and a Fever fan, who accused the four-time MVP of causing a foul against Sophie Cunningham.
For her part, Wilson received a technical foul but noted that the fan was not removed from the arena.
The Fever later issued a statement confirming that security had spoken with the fan and other witnesses, concluding the fan did not violate the Fan Code of Conduct, so no action was taken against him.
Plaisance, who has a decade of WNBA experience, played one season with both Colson and Wilson on the Aces in 2022, which ended with them winning the championship against the Connecticut Sun.
Colson, with 11 years in the league, shared the court with Wilson for five seasons, during which they also won two WNBA titles together.
Both inactive players seemed genuinely upset over how the fan behaved, with Wilson calling it “unacceptable.”
Wilson expressed her feelings: “If I see a man come at me, taking steps toward me and pointing at me, I don’t give a damn what you said. I don’t give a damn how you said it, the tone, that is unacceptable. You don’t know me to step toward me and point at me. I’m not for that s–t at all. … That there is unacceptable. How he gets back in the game because they said he didn’t do anything, of course he did.”
Now, the series is set for a crucial Game 3 in Las Vegas on Thursday night.
