Infamous FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried’s lawyers have kept the names of the two co-signers of his $250 million bond secret as he says his family is indeed being threatened. urged the judge in his fraud case to keep it to himself.
Bankman-Fried’s lawyers said there was a “security incident” at the parents’ home where the former FTX CEO was released on house arrest.
Bankman-Fried’s attorneys described the case in a letter to Judge Lewis Kaplan opposing nearly a dozen media organizations’ demands to reveal the identities of co-signers.
“There was a recent security incident at the Bankman-Frieds home when a black car slammed into a metal barricade set up outside the house. Three men got out of the car. When confronted with them, the man said something to the effect of “You can’t keep us out.” have,” they wrote.
