Fugitive Arrested At Disney World

Federal postal inspector Jeff Andre spotted New York City fugitive Quashon Burtonn at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom park in October and called him in to police.

Burton had reportedly been on the run for a year after being wanted for “fraudulently obtaining over $150K in forgivable PPP loans from the government,” according to TMZ. Andre noticed the distinctive “H” tattoo on Burton’s neck, which prompted him to phone in the sighting to local authorities. It is alleged that he also used multiple identities to withdraw cash from an ATM machine in a New York City post office, according to the outlet.

Police found Burton roughly an hour after Andre reported seeing the him on the grounds, according to TMZ. Police located Burton sitting at a bus stop on park property. He was in the company of two family members at the time.

Burton reportedly refused to hand over his identification to police and proceeded to resist arrest, according to TMZ. Police forcibly got him on the ground and were later able to identify him by his fingerprints at the police station, according to the outlet. New York City prosecutors deemed Burton to be an “extreme” flight risk, according to TMZ. He currently remains behind bars without bail.
