It's the top card this Saturday as the UFC hosts another fight night in a Las Vegas warehouse.
Assuming there are no last-minute pull-outs, this weekend's cards will feature 12 battles and 5 battles on the main card.
Only five of the 12 fights are expected to end within range (by knockout or submission). This is a considerable change from last week considering eight of the 12 fights that ended within Seattle distance.
Last week we chose all the cards in the qualifying and main cards, as we do every week on Nypost.com, and we were 6-4, nailing the victory of the underdogs with Ricky Simon (+200).
We aim to continue Saturday before UFC Fight Night.
UFC Fight Night Prediction
Manel Kape vs. Asu Almabayev
This main event was originally scheduled to feature Brandon Royval against Manel Kape, but Asu Almabayev is currently planning to jump into a semi-short notification.
Almabayev had already been in the qualifying round for this card, so his placement is not completely random.
Kape is probably the best athlete in the flyweight division, hitting his powerful suit and taking down what he wants to avoid.
Kape defends Takedowns with 77% clips, the eighth best figure in UFC history, but Almabayev certainly tries to boost his aerobic and pace and tire his opponents.
It's not the worst strategy either, as Kape's high-rich athleticism gives him both advantages and disadvantages when it comes to fitness.
I don't expect Kape to pull off the late TKO in this fight. Almabayev's impressive defense was impressed when looking back on his recent match.
Bet on this and bet on going to the decision at Fanduel's -134 odds.
Pick: The fight goes to decision (-134, fan duel)
Cody Brandage vs. Julian Marquez
These two are murdered or killed fighters.
Julian Marquez is on track for the UFC and is a well-balanced competitor who has completed knockouts and submissions throughout his career.
Cody Brandage comes in as a loser on Saturdays, but I like him bringing victory home.
Marquez was a long layoff and looked terrible when he last saw him.

Brandage has an aggressive grappling advantage, and can cause problems early as Marquez is certainly looking for a front headlock choke.
But other than that, brandage should have more ways to win on Saturday. Feel free to bet on your decision at DraftKings after the first round.
