Gabbard Alleges Manipulation of Intelligence Reports
Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, has come forward with claims that officials from Barack Obama’s administration manipulated intelligence reports regarding Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
In an appearance on “Hannity,” Gabbard suggested that Obama is attempting to “overturn the will of the Americans” by fostering narratives centered around Russian conspiracy theories linked to the election.
A declassified report from leaders of the intelligence community presents what they describe as “overwhelming evidence” suggesting that key figures in Obama’s national security team initiated a long-term investigation into Trump-Russia connections following Donald Trump’s win over Hillary Clinton.
Gabbard stressed the relevance of this issue, saying it reflects “the integrity and strength of the Democratic Republic,” transcending mere political divides.
“These over 100 documents I’ve declassified spell out in detail what happens when powerful people lead from within our country,” she articulated during the interview.
Her remarks indicated that the intent behind the actions of the Obama administration was to undermine the legitimacy of the 2016 election results and promote “manufactured, politicized intelligence” meant to support a so-called coup against Trump.
She also briefly discussed the broader consequences of this Russian narrative on citizens and the nation as a whole.
“In a prolonged Mueller investigation, taxpayers spent nearly $40 million amidst what seemed like endless smears against President Trump, his family was scrutinized, and some senior team members faced jail time,” she emphasized.
Gabbard expressed her plans to forward the pertinent documents to the Department of Justice for further investigation, highlighting the importance of accountability in maintaining public trust in democratic processes.
“I will refer these documents to the DOJ for further investigation. It’s crucial we have not just action, but accountability. Uncovering the truth and identifying responsible parties is essential,” she asserted.
She detailed that the Steele dossier was referenced for months leading up to the election, asserting that it was part of a fabricated assessment ordered by Obama and multiple intelligence agencies, which were warned that the information was “unreliable.”
The following day, in an appearance on “Fox and Friends,” Gabbard expanded on the recent revelations, characterizing Obama’s actions as a “rebellious conspiracy” against Trump.
“No matter who they are or how high their position, everyone involved in this harmful plot must be held accountable,” she maintained.
