Gabbard won't rule out 2028 presidential run

In a new interview, National Intelligence Director Tarshi Gabbard refused to rule out running for president in 2028.

When he appeared on SiriusXM's “The Megyn Kelly Show,” which airs Thursday evening, Gabbard was asked about his aspirations for a higher office.

“I thought I'd listened to this time and again and again. It was the 'first female president,'” Kelly told Gabbard.

“I look at you, I see it, and I know they last put you through a meat grinder, but it was on the other side. Now you've crossed,” Kelly added, referring to Gabbard's 2020 White House bid as a Democratic candidate.

Kelly said:

Gabbard did not rule it out.

“I will never rule out opportunities to serve my country,” said Gabbard, who served in the Army for over 20 years and deployed in Iraq and Kuwait.

“If we had spoken a year ago, we wouldn't have surpassed the idea that I would be here and we'd have this conversation,” Gabbard said. “My decision in my life is how can I serve God, how can I do my best to serve my country? And that's what led me here.”

“I am grateful for this opportunity and will continue to pursue those opportunities that I can have the most positive impact and serve,” she added.
