After signing an entry-level deal with the Rangers on Monday, Gabe Perot has been heading to New York and has been checking in at Brennan Osmann, the same hotel since his recall from AHL Hartford at the end of February.
The two settled that night before Perot ventured out to practice at the MSG Training Center on Tuesday.
They planned to go to town together on Tuesday, and could make their NHL debut with Wild on Wednesday night.
The Rangers have a wealth of youth in their lineup this season, and Perot only has to reduce the average age further, but it appears to be beneficial for all young people.
“I was watching [the NCAA tournament] And you're obviously rooting for him,” Osman said. He has a great opportunity to come and play here and is happy to be here.
“I think that's another young face. In a way, we've had a pretty good relationship in those development camps.
Perreault will join the Rangers 22 underclub along with Othmann, Matt Rempe, Will Cuylle and Brett Berard.
If he plays Wednesday, Perot will be the third blues shirt to win his NHL debut this season after Bellard took place on November 25th and Victor Mancini, who won on October 9th.
Othmann stayed on the Rangers' top line right wing next to Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck, while Perreault was placed in the second unit alongside Alexis Lafrenière and JT Miller.
The third line featuring Chris Kreide is hererMika Zibanejad and Will Quill And Sam Carrick, the fourth unit made up of Bellard. Johnny Brosinski.
The defense pairings remained the same along with Zach Jones and Calvin De Hahn. A strange man again.
