Gabriel Bortoleto is excited to drive an F1 car on his favorite track in Imola this week.

Following his recent retirement from the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, Sauber rookie driver Gabriel Boltreto is already looking ahead to the next race.

And there’s a solid reason for that.

This week marks the beginning of the European circuit, with the grid heading to Imola for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. During the 2024 F2 season, Boltreto achieved pole position at Imola and finished second in the feature race.

In Miami, Boltreto shared his excitement about this upcoming race.

“Why do I love Imola? It’s my favorite because I really enjoy racing tracks,” Boltreto told the media.

“I’ve done well there in my career—qualifying on pole—and I’ve consistently reached the podium in various series.”

He elaborated on his admiration for Imola in a preview for this week’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

“Imola is a track I’ve raced on before in other categories, but moving up to Formula One changes the game completely,” Boltreto mentioned. “It’s definitely one of my favorite tracks. The flow is fantastic, and the challenge keeps me engaged—every corner matters.”

As a rookie, Boltreto aims for satisfactory results for Sauber this week.

“This weekend, I’m concentrating on learning, keeping sharp, and trying to find that extra tenth of a second.”
