Thai authorities found hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine allegedly smuggled from the United States in a clothing rack, local media reported.

Police Lt. Gen. Panurat Rakboon, director-general of Bangkok’s Drug Enforcement Agency, said at a press conference earlier this month that authorities arrested three Nigerian men after seizing 5,360 grams of cocaine from a U.S.-originated plane. . He arrived in Bangkok, Thai newspaper Khao Sod reported.

The cocaine was estimated to be worth 16 million Thai baht, or about $450,000, according to local reports.

The raid was initially triggered by the Customs Department’s Airport Interdiction Task Force at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on March 7.

The three Nigerian suspects were reportedly waiting to pick up the clothing rack after the package arrived in Thailand and cleared customs. According to photos, the cocaine was hidden inside a metal pipe in a clothing rack.

Officials said the suspects were involved in a drug-selling gang and were involved in human trafficking on Bangkok’s Soi Nana Road, the Bangkok Post reported.
