LONDON — The first four weeks of the season haven't gone as everyone around the Jets expected for wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
The third-year receiver had just 20 catches for 191 yards and one touchdown.
He seems out of sync with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and you can see his frustration growing.
Wilson and the Jets hope all that changes Sunday against the Vikings.
“I feel like we always have a good practice week,” Wilson said of his chemistry with Rodgers. “So now we're just replacing that with Sunday. So we're hoping this is a week where everything definitely goes well.”
The Vikings, who are 4-0 this season, have played a good defense, but if they have a weakness, it's in the passing game, which ranks last in the NFL in passing yards allowed.
Cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and Byron Murphy aren't in the same class as the cornerbacks Wilson has seen recently, like Patrick Surtain last week and Rajarius Sneed in Week 2.
That could lead to a breakout game for Wilson, who has yet to accumulate 70 receiving yards in a game this season.
In the fourth quarter last week, he didn't seem to change direction when Rodgers wanted him to, and the pass was incomplete. Rodgers looked at him after he pitched.

“That's just a detail, you know?” Mr. Rogers said. “We have to be on the same page. So the conversations we have are important. I see the game through his eyes, he sees the game through mine, and you know… Like, just get out there and do it. I don't think it's a big change. We're going to get everything together this week.”
Wilson appeared on the “Bert & Hahn” radio show this week and raised eyebrows when he appeared to criticize offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Wilson made his point clear Friday.
“You know, I was asked specific questions, and I answered the questions,” Wilson said. “It doesn't really matter whether I like the question or not, but I could have answered it in a better way. At the end of the day, I just go out and play football. I do my job. I do, but all of that is out of my control.”
If the Jets trade for Davante Adams, Wilson could be promoted to No. 2 WR or at least 1A. Wilson was asked what he thought about a potential partnership with Adams.
“That’s great, dude,” Wilson said. “I feel like it would be cool. Like I always say, if we can get him here and somebody can help us win, let's do it.”
