Geert Wilders: Concern About Population Changes, Not Climate Issues

The Changing Landscape of Western Europe

The holiday season might be lingering, but it’s a good time to reflect on some significant changes happening in Western Europe, don’t you think? If you’ve traveled from Bergen, Norway, to Cork, Ireland, or perhaps Salzburg, Austria, Florence, Italy, Hamburg, Germany, and Perpignan, France, you’ve probably noticed an increasing presence of djellabas, headscarves, and niqabs everywhere.

While the media often discusses heat waves, it seems hesitant to address what might be termed demographic waves. The implications are substantial for our economy, lifestyle, and overall well-being. And even as the weather cools down, the demographic shifts remain unchanged.

There’s a noticeable surge in assertiveness among Islamic extremists in various parts of Western Europe. Women are feeling threatened, anti-Semitism is on the rise, and attacks against the LGBTQ+ community are increasing. Those who criticize Islam often find themselves needing police protection. Yet, oddly, the political class seems reluctant to acknowledge these connections.

Our nation is swiftly evolving towards a more Islamic identity. Politicians, law enforcement, and the media appear eager to display their ‘respect’ for Islam—is it really respect, or is it more of an obligation? In the Netherlands, Islam has already overtaken other religions among those under 25. If you think about it, there’s a real possibility that by mid-century, Islam could become the predominant religion here, surpassing Christianity.

We’re beginning to feel the consequences of these transformations. The Dutch government, once a staunch ally of Israel, has shifted to advocating sanctions against it. Changes in demographics are leading politicians across the spectrum to embrace the damaging narrative that genocide is occurring in Gaza.

Our streets are increasingly filled with neo-Marxists and Islamic extremists who rally for Palestinian terrorists and Iranian leaders. The traditional values and identities we’ve held dear are being overshadowed. It feels like we’re becoming strangers in our own land, paralyzed by the fear of defending our interests or backing our allies.

While it seems we’re on the edge of an unspoken takeover, the elite continue to cheer for diversity in culture and religion. However, if we do not curtail immigration, we risk becoming a culturally homogenous society once more. It raises questions—shouldn’t it be Judaism and Christianity instead of Islam?

Remember a decade ago when Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted around 2 million migrants into Europe? Strangely enough, she’s now been awarded the European Order of Merit. This year, Pedro Sánchez took a similar path with an immigration amnesty, attracting 1.17 million applications from illegal immigrants, almost turning Spain into a magnet for newcomers.

Across Europe, voters concerned about housing shortages, strained infrastructure, and rising crime are calling for reduced immigration. But will the authorities heed these concerns? Whenever Extinction Rebellion protests—disrupting traffic, vandalizing art—the response seems subdued. Yet, when a petition signed by nearly a million Europeans opposing non-European immigration is presented, the European Commission dismisses it outright, claiming it contradicts the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

By insinuating that some actions are violent yet permissible and others wholly peaceful yet unacceptable, the European elite seem to be orchestrating our decline. It’s crucial that we reconsider our approach to immigration. The increasing influx is straining the welfare system, leading to crime, eroding social bonds, compromising national security, and putting immense pressure on Europe’s cultural identity.

The once-unwavering welcoming attitude is waning. What Europe requires now is a bold shift toward being less accommodating. Those who are here illegally should be detained and promptly deported.

The U.S. government recognized in its 2026 National Security Strategy that Europeans face a significant risk of “civilizational erasure.” This threat is primarily a result of unchecked mass migration, which Vice President J.D. Vance labeled as “the most pressing challenge” for Europe.

A majority of immigrants arriving in Europe hail from Islamic nations. This shift is altering the very Judeo-Christian fabric of the continent, potentially leaving Europe unreliably aligned with the United States. “We want Europe to remain Europe,” the NSS emphasizes. But if current trends persist, the continent might be unrecognizable in just two decades.

This transformation is evident in urban areas that increasingly resemble Arab neighborhoods rather than European ones. We’re seeing heightened anxiety among Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities, and the repercussions are particularly felt by our daughters and wives. As the influx of non-Western immigrants escalates, so too does the incidence of sexual violence against women.

According to official Dutch statistics, men from Syria are 4.4 times more likely to commit sexual offenses compared to native Dutch men. Those figures rise significantly for men from other regions—6.6 times for Iranians, 7.5 for Eritreans, 8.4 for Iraqis, 10.9 for Afghans, and a staggering 20.3 for Somalis.

Despite these alarming facts, those in power refuse to confront reality. It feels as though they are sacrificing the safety of our women and daughters in the name of political correctness. Meanwhile, mainstream media, feminists, and centrist politicians like to frame the issue as a broader societal problem involving youth, often overlooking the impact of Muslim immigrant communities.

For so long, Europe remained an open door, all while preaching that diversity is our strength. We’ve been fed lies. Now, when the temperature rises even slightly, climate change is touted as the paramount threat to our civilization. It feels like yet another deception—the truth is, we may be on the verge of extinction. Urgent action is necessary, and time is running out. If we wait too long, it could be too late. We must confront the elephant in the room—an undeniable threat that many seem afraid to name. We really need to speak out!

Our nation is facing an invasion, driven by Islam—a totalitarian ideology marked by hatred and violence. However, there’s still time to reclaim our future. We’ve done it before at Poitiers (732), Granada (1492), Lepanto (1571), and Vienna (1683). It’s time to act again: close the borders, begin the deportation of illegal immigrants, and initiate the removal of criminals.
