Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost (D, Florida) slammed his state’s Governor Ron DeSantis with a profanity-laden rant onstage at a Paramore concert Friday night.
The Gen Z congressman dropped multiple F-bombs over the microphone at the Republican presidential candidate when he was invited on stage at the pop-punk band’s Washington, D.C. concert.
“Do you have anything to say to these beautiful people?” lead singer Hayley Williams asked as she put her arm on Frost’s shoulder, according to a video posted online.
“Damn Ron DeSantis! Fuck fascism and lead with love!” Frost yelled into the microphone and raised his hands in the air.
According to online footage, the crowd cheered and yelled in response to his cheeky message.


Frost, 26, refused to retract the swearing after the show ended.
“I said what I said,” he wrote on Twitter. retweet the video About his on-stage remarks.


The freshman has previously criticized the Sunshine Governor. In an appearance on CNN in March, he called DeSantis fascist for his policies targeting LGBTQ people and other groups.
“We have to call it as it is,” he said of DeSantis. “He abuses his power and uses the state to target his political opponents and opponents. There is a word for it and it is fascism and we have to be honest about it.”
At Friday’s concert, Maxwell helped sing Paramore’s hit “Misery Business” in an energetic performance, Maxwell said, “I’ve been practicing in the shower for years.”
Last weekend, just days after the governor announced his 2024 candidacy, Williams delivered his message to DeSantis at a music festival in Atlantic City.
“If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you are really dead to me,” she told fans during her performance.
