“General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor was shot and killed during an attempted robbery in downtown Los Angeles. He was 37 years old.
Wachter’s mother, Scarlett, He told TMZ He was reportedly killed early Saturday morning after he and a colleague apprehended three suspects who were trying to steal a catalytic converter from his car.
Authorities told the actor’s mother that the actor did not resist, but he was shot and killed when he confronted them.
KTLA reported Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the area of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street around 3:25 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived on scene they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, Wachter was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
As of Sunday afternoon, no suspects had been arrested.

He also appeared in “Station 19,” “Criminal Minds” and “Westworld.”
According to TMZ, Johnny is survived by his mother and brothers Lance and Grant.
