George Clooney’s Marriage Claims

George Clooney recently reiterated that he and his wife, Amal Clooney, have “never had an argument” in their over ten years of marriage.

This statement, first made on “CBS Mornings” three years ago, was echoed again in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

When a reporter expressed skepticism about his claims after eleven years together, the Oscar-winning actor stood firm.

“I was 52 years old,” Clooney explained. “There’s a reason why insurance rates for young adults are so high; it’s really quite absurd.”

He shared that after his first marriage to Talia Balsam, he had no plans to marry again but fell head over heels for Amal, which changed everything for him.

As a father to twins Ella and Alexander, Clooney admitted he initially didn’t want children but reconsidered after meeting Amal.

He emphasized that he is “not conceding” and insists this is the truth, noting he feels more secure and less compelled to win every argument now.

Clooney humorously remarked to reporters, “You’re trying to get me in trouble with my wife here.”

Since first making his claims in 2022, Amal has voiced that George’s assertions can be “upsetting” for those close to them.

She recalled a cousin who always asks about their supposed lack of disputes, which has become somewhat of a running joke.

Recently, Travis Kelsey poked fun at Clooney regarding his statements on the New Heights podcast, calling into question their accuracy.

“You’re right, even though it’s only been two and a half years,” Kelsey teased. “We’ve never had an argument. Never.”

Kylie Kelsey responded to her brother’s comment, calling it a “sarcastic…joke,” while Travis remained steadfast in his playful banter.

George and Amal began dating in 2013, got engaged a year later, and married in 2014, later welcoming their twins. Interestingly, he and Kelsey share a similar lighthearted sentiment on their relationships with their partners.
