Oscar-winning actor George Clooney has argued that Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is away from a pack of potential Democrats’ 2028 presidential candidates.
“I have one person in particular that I think is spectacular,” Clooney told CNN host JakTapper in an interview aired Wednesday.
The “Gravity” star praised the democratic government. Before he claims to be governor of the Free State, Andy Besher and Gretchen Whitmer of Kentucky and Michigan, respectively.
“What I’m thinking is someone I think is that is emerging on being Wes Moore,” declared Clooney.
The Hollywood star and Democratic megadonor cited the collapse of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge in March 2024, Moore’s response to his work in combat services and a venture charity backed by George Soros, as the reason why the governor of Maryland is jumping on him.
“I think he’s the guy who handled this tragedy beautifully in Baltimore. He does two missions in Afghanistan. He speaks beautifully. He’s clever. He ran a hedge fund.
“I like him so much,” he added. “I think he can be someone we can all be in the back.”
Clooney famously called for former President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential election at the New York Times Opeda, claiming Democrats don’t have much time to find the right candidate to gather behind them.
“We have to find someone pretty quickly.”Good night and good luckStar said, admitting that Democrats will cut work for them in 2028.
“Now, our job is to put together the right team to get up to get up. [Democrats are] The votes are very poor right now,” Clooney told Tupper.

Moore was an outspoken supporter of Biden during his appointment to an astounding withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election.
The 46-year-old Maryland governor faced a controversy last year after reporting that the New York Times lied about being the honorable bronze star winner in the 2006 White House Fellowship Application.
Moore argued that misrepresentation was a “honest mistake.”
