An inmate set a cell on fire at an Atlanta prison, but the fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured, authorities said.
A fire at the Fulton County Jail was extinguished by jail staff.
The Atlanta Fire Department also responded to the scene. It is unclear how the prisoners started the fire.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office told WSB-TV on Sunday that 15 inmates were transferred to other parts of the jail, but none required medical treatment as a result of the fire.

“I am proud of the dedication and ability of the women and men of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office to maintain order under difficult circumstances,” Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labatt said in a statement. “The safety of the detainees in our care and custody is our top priority.”
