Georgia Judge Scott McAfee Dismisses Three Charges Against Trump

In total, was fired The indictment includes six charges, including three against Trump. McAfee said in his order that prosecutors can reinstate the dismissed charges.

The ruling is a blow to the Fulton County district attorney. Fanny WillisHer case is already in limbo as she seeks to be removed from prosecutors because of her romantic relationship with a co-worker. It was the first of Trump’s four criminal cases to have her charges dismissed, with the judge saying prosecutors did not provide sufficient details about her alleged crimes.

The order comes ahead of McAfee’s pending ruling on whether Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis should be removed from Trump’s case. McAfee promised on the radio last week that a verdict would be handed down this week.

At the end of the disqualification hearing, McAfee said the court would deliberate for two weeks. The judge had previously said Willis could be removed from the case, which would hand Trump a major victory.
