According to the family, Georgia’s mother died in a wounded heart just days after her 20-year-old son was found dead in a wild beat at his home.
Tasha Lawson, 48, died of cardiac complications at a hospital in Waycross on April 13, just 11 days after his son, Tee Andrick Lawson, died in his bedroom. WTOC reported.
The mother’s death was determined to be from a “natural cause” from “rupture aortic dissection, hypertension, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.”
Her family said her mother had shown she had died “from a pure heartbreak.”
“Tie Andrick and his mother were inseparable. Their bond is deep and fragile.
“The pain of losing her son was too much for her heart to endure.”
Teaandrik Lawson was killed on April 2nd. The family said it was in the hands of two men who broke into the house while their mother was away. They believe he was targeted for his sexual orientation, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation did not confirm Wednesday.
“He just wanted to be him, his sister, Teleona Harrison He told WTOC. “He couldn’t even do it for him. Everyone accepted him, but the man who couldn’t accept himself accepted him.”
Before her own death, his mother had told WTOC that her son had “been brutal.”
“He was very bright. He did really well. He loved dancing. He laughed a lot,” his mother said a week ago before he died.
“I can’t wake him up and say, go to the store with me. I can’t do that. He didn’t deserve what they did to him. He didn’t deserve it.”
