German chancellor calls to restrict immigration after ISIS takes credit for lethal terror attack allegedly by Syrian refugee

The Germans are bigger limit The government has imposed strict restrictions on immigration policies after the ISIS terror group claimed responsibility for a deadly attack blamed on a Syrian refugee.

Islamic State said on social media that the 26-year-old suspect was an “Islamic State soldier” and that the attack was motivated by “revenge against Muslims in Palestine and around the world.”

“This is terrorism, terrorism against all of us.”

German Social Democratic Chancellor Olaf Scholz said We should restrict immigration under attack.

“We must do everything we can to ensure that those who cannot or are not allowed to stay in Germany are repatriated and deported,” he said.

“This is terrorism. Terrorism against all of us,” he added.

Police said the assailant, identified as Issa al-Hassan, slashed his victims, aiming for their throats, at a festival in Solingen on August 23. Three people were killed and eight were injured.

One witness said he heard Hasan shout “Allah is great” as he stabbed the victim.

Investigators later said the suspect was living in a refugee home and had planned to emigrate to Germany in 2022 and seek asylum.

The German authorities Facing the anger The government has come under public criticism for admitting that it did not deport suspects after their asylum applications were rejected. The government claims that it had requested the deportation of 74,622 suspects whose asylum applications were rejected in 2023, but only 5,053 of them were actually deported.

“Based on what we know now, the Solingen attackers should no longer be in Germany,” Scholz said.

Right-wing opposition groups have rallied support for more extreme solutions, such as a total immigration ban or a moratorium on naturalization. Chancellor Olaf Scholz has promised to seek further restrictions on immigration but has been slow to act so far.

Germany's next general election is due to be held in about a year.
