Jerry Turner Finds New Love After Divorce

Jerry Turner, a former contestant on “The Golden Bachelor,” has happily announced his engagement to Lana Sutton. The couple shared the exciting news on social media on Friday, just 15 months after Turner finalized his divorce from Teresa Nist in June 2024, following a brief three-month marriage.

Turner excitedly posted, “There’s big news,” along with photos showcasing a stunning engagement ring. He expressed his feelings in a heartfelt message: “The Golden Bachelor is out of the market. I found the perfect match and she said ‘Yes’. I love this woman.”

The couple first tied the knot during a televised wedding in January 2024 after Turner proposed in the season finale of the show. However, their relationship ended abruptly, with Turner filing for divorce just three months later, citing “irreconcilable differences.” This move came shortly after they publicly announced their split on “Good Morning America.” Turner commented at the time, “We have had many heartfelt conversations and have come to the conclusion that it is time to end our marriage.” He emphasized that family remained a priority for both of them.

The divorce was officially confirmed in June 2024, as they navigated their separation amidst the unique circumstances of their relationship.

In December 2024, Turner revealed a personal health challenge, disclosing that he was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer earlier that year. “There are topics I’ve never wanted to talk about before,” he said, referring to the split. He reflected on the difficulties he faced while managing both his health and the end of his marriage, adding, “I was diagnosed with cancer, which complicated things.”

According to reports, Turner has been diagnosed with Macroglobulinemia, a rare form of cancer linked to white blood cells. He shared, “Unfortunately, there is no cure. It was like a heavy weight on all my decisions.”

Turner’s outlook shifted significantly after his diagnosis. “I decided I wasn’t going to say ‘no’ to anything. I want to embrace every opportunity,” he noted, explaining how he aimed to fully enjoy life despite his challenges.

Now with Sutton, Turner describes her as a positive force in his life. “She has more energy than I do,” he remarked. “We click well, and it’s refreshing to have someone who completely understands you.” Turner feels optimistic about his current situation and appreciates the support he receives from his new partner.
