Ghislaine Maxwell Shares Her Thoughts on Epstein's Death

Maxwell on Epstein’s Death: A Mismanagement Issue

In a recent interview with the Department of Justice, Ghislaine Maxwell expressed her belief that Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. She stated to Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche that she doesn’t think anyone outside the prison orchestrated his death. Instead, she attributes it to the Bureau of Prisons’ mismanagement.

“In the place where I’m incarcerated, they’ll kill you or pay you. It can cost as little as $25 for someone to have you killed,” Maxwell noted. “It’s all about how quickly someone can reach their goal.”

When asked about who might have wanted Epstein dead, Blanche remarked, “They wanted him dead so badly that they had him killed inside.” Maxwell, reflecting on this, responded, “I think that’s true, but I don’t really see it that way. Could something like that happen? Sure, but I don’t believe Epstein’s death was a hit.”

“If it was indeed a murder, I think it was an internal situation,” she added. Maxwell dismissed the notion that anyone had silenced Epstein.

“I find that idea ridiculous. If someone wanted him gone, they would have had ample chances before he was in prison. If there was serious concern about him, he would have been an easy target.”

The DOJ has released a detailed Interview with Maxwell, conducted by Blanche on July 24 and 25. Epstein’s brother had previously hired a forensic pathologist in 2019 to dispute the official autopsy results, claiming the evidence suggested murder rather than suicide.

According to a report from the DOJ Inspector General in June 2023, video footage from the special housing unit where Epstein was held could only be accessed from one camera due to recording malfunctions. The two prison guards on duty the night of Epstein’s death faced charges in 2020 for failing to conduct proper rounds, despite being logged as having done so.

The DOJ released over ten hours of footage from the night Epstein died, which stated he died by suicide and revealed there was no client list. However, about a minute of video evidence was missing. This issue coincided with the nightly reset of the old recording system, raising further questions about the integrity of the footage.

“Every night, the video resets, and it seems to go missing at the same time. I’m seeking to have the video released,” the report suggested.
