The Giants will be featured for the first time on HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” a groundbreaking internal investigation of an NFL team. But this is not your typical “hard knock” deal.
This will be a new version of the show, looking back at the Giants’ offseason and chronicling the offseason that began in January and ends in July, ahead of this summer’s training camp.
As a result, there are no cameras on the players being released, and no entertaining audio of players or coaches during training camp practices.
The first episode of the five-part series will premiere on HBO on July 2 at 9 p.m. It’s called “Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants.”
According to a press release, the series will “take viewers inside the New York Giants organization as the team prepares for its long-awaited 100th season. The camera crew will be led by general manager Joe Schon; and other members of the team’s front office and staff as they navigate the critical offseason period from January to July 2024, from the NFL Scouting Combine to free agency, the NFL Draft, and the team. Record every move. Mini camp.
Hard Knocks, which chronicles NFL training camp and the regular season, has won 18 Sports Emmy Awards. This series is produced by NFL Films

Skydance Sports will co-produce the offseason series, which will be narrated by Liev Schreiber.
The Giants have long opposed making training camp on “Hard Knocks” public, and have avoided appearing on the show for years.
This offseason version was much less invasive and, coupled with the Giants’ planned 100th season festivities, was more appealing to the Giants.
