Giants fan banner implores John Mara to ‘fix this dumpster fire’

It flew across a clear blue sky Sunday morning, 90 minutes before the Giants faced the Saints at MetLife Stadium.

A small plane says, “Mr. Mara, enough is enough – please fix this dumpster fire.”

Yes, that's very bad.

The Giants enter the game with a 2-10 record and are on pace for one of the worst seasons in franchise history as they “celebrate” their 100th season.

The last time a banner flew overhead with such negative feedback from disgruntled fans was back in 1978, when a plane in the third quarter of a game against the Cardinals at Giants Stadium said, “15 years of terrible… They held up a banner that read “Football…We Are.'' That's enough. ”

The Giants' owner took that message to heart, and the hiring of George Young as general manager was the main driver of the franchise's rebuild, which enacted a major shake-up.

It remains to be seen what will happen to this year's team.

Giants co-owner John Mara made no changes to general manager Joe Schon and head coach Brian Daboll during the season and plans to make them in 2025 when the team was 2-5. He claimed that there was no such thing.

The Giants are currently on a seven-game losing streak, and if they lose their remaining games and finish 2-15, it will be difficult for Mara to keep his promise.
