Giants' Malik Nabers hurt during NFL game

Injury Update on Malik Nabers

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers’ day took a turn for the worse during the game against the Los Angeles Chargers when he appeared to injure his knee while attempting to catch a pass.

Nabers was sprinting down the sideline against Chargers cornerback Cam Hart when rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart targeted him with a throw. As he made an effort to reach for the ball, he grabbed his right knee after landing awkwardly on the field.

The Giants’ training staff quickly attended to him. Unfortunately, he had to be carted off and was later declared out for the remainder of the game.

Reports from the NFL Network suggest that he might have suffered a torn ACL, which isn’t good news for the team.

Nabers has been one of the standout performers for the Giants since joining the league last season. In his rookie year, he caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards and scored seven touchdowns.

His performance this season started slowly, marked by limited opportunities in the Giants’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he showcased his talent in a close match against the Dallas Cowboys, where he had six receptions for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

Fans had high hopes that Nabers would develop a strong connection with Dart, especially after Dart was named the starting quarterback.

Before his injury, Nabers had notched two catches out of three targets for 20 yards and his teammate Dart made a quick scoring play on his first drive.
