Sean Hjelle’s Wife Alleges Problems and Abuse on Social Media
Caroline Hjelle, the wife of San Francisco Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle, took to social media on Friday to reveal serious allegations about her husband, describing him as having “problems” and being abusive.
In a TikTok video, she shared her feelings, stating, “When my MLB husband abandoned us this past Mother’s Day, I finally discovered his problems. I’ve stopped being patient with his abuse and have been raising our two boys on my own.”
The Giants have acknowledged the social media post and released a statement: “We are aware of these serious allegations and are in communication with MLB. Since these claims fall under their jurisdiction, we won’t be commenting further.”
Before the team’s game against the Boston Red Sox, manager Bob Melvin commented on the situation, saying, “We’re aware of it; he informed me last night. We’ve been in touch with MLB. It’s now in their hands, so I can’t say much more.” He also mentioned that Hjelle might still pitch for the team.
Caroline also addressed her struggles in a previous TikTok video released on April 8, mentioning the emotional toll it has taken on her and hinting at a painful situation. She referenced the hashtag “divorce,” indicating the gravity of their situation.
This season, Sean Hjelle has recorded a 4.66 ERA over six games.
