WFAN host and former Giants running back Tiki Barber hired a plane to fly over MetLife Stadium to send fans a tough message against team ownership amid another disastrous season. I wasn't too crazy about it.
The barber named them “trollers” On Tuesday's “Evan and Tiki” On a popular New York sports talk station, he wondered why Jets fans weren't expressing literal dissatisfaction with Gang Green's condition.
“We've been talking about Giants fans or trolls for the last few weeks, because we don't know if it's really fans or if they're flying planes over the ballpark,” Barber said in a statement. He spoke with a bit of discomfort.
Barber continued to speak out against fan behavior, noting that the Giants were in the postseason in the first few years under head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schon, starting in 2022. Ta.
After co-host Evan Roberts countered that they were probably fans, Barber continued, “You went to the playoffs and won a game two years ago.” “What the hell are you talking about? If you want to fly a plane now, fly it over the stadium, when the stadium is occupied by a team that hasn't been to the playoffs in at least 14 years.”
The Giants defeated the Vikings in the wild card, but were eliminated by the Eagles in the next round.
When Roberts retorted that the past two years had been a disaster for the Giants, Barber tried to deflect that the Jets had been in that position for the past 14 seasons.

Barber didn't seem to want to acknowledge what Big Blue fans felt after the team signed Daniel Jones to a four-year, $160 million extension after the 2022 season.
Jones' tenure with the Giants officially ended when he was released at the end of November, but the decision not to re-sign running back Saquon Barkley appears to be coming back to haunt them.
The Giants are also targeting the No. 1 overall pick in the midst of a 2-12 season.
In an interview with NJ.com, the fan who hired the No. 2 plane that flew over the Meadowlands during Sunday's loss to the Ravens said the idea was to embarrass Giants owner John Mara.
“The thing the Mara family is most proud of is pride in themselves,” a fan told the magazine. “So if we can make it even more embarrassing, they'll take more action.”
