Giants set for daunting 2025 schedule with opponents now set

PHILADELPHIA — No matter who coaches the Giants in 2025, it will be quite a challenge given what is shaping up to be a tough schedule.

In addition to their annual NFC East games against the Eagles, Commanders, and Cowboys, the Giants will also face the Chiefs (hello, Patrick Mahomes), Chargers, Vikings, and the last-place team in the NFC West (probably the 49ers). and home games.

The Giants will travel to Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas and Carolina for road games.

LT Jermaine Elemunor signed a two-year, $14 million contract with the Giants, but he didn't expect that he would end up in last place with 3 wins and 14 losses.

That alone was bad enough.

He also expressed disgust Sunday for the Giants, who lost their final game of the regular season 20-13 to an Eagles team that plays almost entirely with backups and has already clinched the No. 2 seed in the NFC heading into the playoffs. Ta.

“There's nothing to really play for. You have to find external motivation to play through games like that,” El Emnor said. “And they're also playing as substitutes, so it's kind of a slap in the face. I understand why they play as substitutes, but as a player of my type, I don't want to play. I want to play with the best players. I never want to be in a game like that again or a season like this again.”

WR Malik Nabors set an NFL rookie record for wide receivers.

The Rams' Puka Nacua had 105 receptions in 2023, and Nabers finished his first season with 109 receptions.

Nabors took a pass midway through the third quarter for a 3-yard gain, setting a franchise record for receptions in a season.

He said he was dealing with an issue with his arm. “I feel like I'm a little excited, but nothing that I'm not used to,” Nabors said.

The Giants' dynamic continues.

The Eagles are the Giants' closest opponent geographically, and the Lynx remain the Giants' least favorite road venue.

This is the Giants' 12th straight loss at Lincoln Financial Field, with their last win here coming in 2013.
