The Giants have a new kicker.
With Graham Gano out for several weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the opening kickoff of Sunday's game against the Commanders, the Giants signed Greg Joseph from the Lions' practice squad on Tuesday, Joseph's agent, Brett Tesler, wrote in a statement to The X.
Joseph, 30, has been the Vikings' kicker the past three seasons, making 83 of 101 field goal attempts in that time.
He joined the Lions' practice squad last week after being waived by the Packers last month.
Joseph previously played for the Browns and Titans.
Gano entered Sunday's game with a groin issue but injured his hamstring on the first play.
Punter Jamie Gillan missed an extra point attempt on the Giants' first touchdown and was not responsible for any kicking for the remainder of the game.
The Giants opted not to release kicker Jude McAtamney from the practice squad despite Gano's groin issue.
In 2022, Joseph booted a 61-yard field goal with time running out to lead the Vikings to a 27-24 victory over the Giants on Christmas Eve, but the Giants got revenge in the wild-card round.
